Within two years, Balloon Haven grew successfully and moved into a larger location. Balloon Haven's decorating events began to increase rapidly, and soon clients were recommending them to others and utilizing their services on a repeat basis. The company presently employs eight full-time employees and 40 part-time decorating assistants along with on-call personnel.

At that time Production Director, Creative Designer, and Sales Rep., George Quintero acquired ownership of Balloon Haven. Quintero experience in the industry has enabled the company to expand into the realm of large-scale balloon sculptures, and maintain their position as industry leaders. "His talent lies in being able to take the basic design and enlarge it while at the same time keeping the detail and structure intact." "The framework and support is extremely important and George is very adept at mathematically figuring out what has to happen ...when and where." George has developed a training program, traveled to decorating seminars teaching balloon decorating to beginning businesses, and has received many design awards.

In 1990 & 1993, traveled to Europe to instruct beginning balloonists and has established an ongoing instructional program with several European countries. He has also instructed at the 1996 ARA Convention, 1995 CRA Convention, 1992, 1993 & 1995 IBAC Convention, 1992 Flowers Inc. Open House, 1992 Balloon Wholesalers Symposium, 1991 & 1992 IBA Convention, and the 1991 West Coast NABA Symposium.

Balloon Haven has been featured in Images, Balloon World, Balloons Today, Special Events, Party & Paper Retailer and several Pioneer Balloon Company Decorator Series. A sampling of their featured designs include the Colossal Chinese Dragon (a 1992 Special Event Gala Nominee), a replica of the Qualatex Logo, and the now famous strawberry basket.

Some national locations include the Bally's - Las Vegas, Hilton - Chicago, the Hilton hotels in Las Vegas, The Castle in Boston and The United Nations in New York. In 1990, our staff opened the Flamingo Hilton Laughlin with exciting interior decor and a 60,000 balloon release! We have designed balloon effects for the opening of ToonTown at Disneyland, United Nations Celebration, EuroDisney Opening, the world premiere of Fantasmic at Disneyland, and the World Cup Closing Ceremonies.

Some of their 1996 highlights include The Sunset at Galleria Mall Grand Opening in Henderson, Nevada, the ground breaking for General Motor's newest attraction at Epcot, New York's 5th Avenue Disney Store Grand Opening, Club Disney Grand Opening in Thousand Oaks, the Grand Opening of the Ontario Mills Entertainment Complex, Walt Disney's 25th Anniversary Celebration throughout Orlando, Florida, 15 city road show with Bank of America, and several New Year's Eve Celebrations throughout the area.
